Anakin Skywalker is the main character in the Star Wars series. The whole movie follows Anakin from childhood to his rise as a Jedi knight, his fall to the dark side and his redemption. He is also the alter ego of Darth Vader and the father of Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa.

Anakin grew up on the planet Tattooine as a slave to a junk dealer named Watto, he is an engineering prodigy and he can build or repair nearly anything. He was freed from slavery by Qui-Gon Jinn and was trained to become a Jedi Knight. He was also believed to be the “Chosen One” that was foretold by a prophecy to bring balance to the Force. He became Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Padawan though he eventually crossed over to the dark side and became Darth Vader. But later he turned back to the light side of the Force before he died which redeemed him from the horrible things that he had done as Darth Vader.
